This is and has always been a beautiful quiet place to go and just sit. The scenery is breathtaking. Love going with the wife every Sunday morning.
Great park. Lots of different areas to explore. Great scenery. My only complaint is that if you're one of those leave-the-earth-cleaner-than-you-found-it kind of people like I am, you'll definitely want to bring some garbage bags. Lots of trash piles. I wish more people cared about their earth. Aside fr that, the compliments are endless. Love it here! Plenty of activities for all kinds of people. I saw a baseball field, volleyball pit, exercise "playground" & of course the kiddie playground. Swinging and still benches all around the lake. Trails. Yoga friendly, pet friendly. Docking for boats. Excellent place to go for any kind of fun.
Pinellas county has let the parks go over the years, this park needs to be put back in shape, it's obviously understaffed for such a large park. You can tell only the basics are getting done. I understand the park does not need to look neat as a golf course, but grass doesn't need to grow two feet tall around the trees either. Shame.......
Six dollar boat launch fee. Great walking path. Closes at sunset and has some holiday closings.
Paradise hidden in the middle of the city. So peaceful and beautiful. Public bathrooms and a boat launch. Very nice.
